Who is Treesha Thosar?
Treesha Vivek Thosar walked up the stage dressed in a simple beige saree and won hearts with her innocence and charm. She received the Best Child Artist Award for her performance in the Marathi movie Naal 2. Interestingly, she shot the film when she was just turning three. Her smile, simplicity, and grace attracted the loudest applause at Vigyan Bhavan.
Treesha walked and received her award, where President Murmu congratulated her personally. The little girl later shared her happiness with ANI, saying she felt overjoyed and grateful for the honour. Notably, despite her young age, Treesha has already worked in many Hindi and Marathi films.
She has also shared screen space with veteran actors like Mahesh Manjrekar and Siddharth Jadhav, while playing a significant role in Manjrekar’s directorial Punha Shivaji Raje Bhosale. Her breakout moment, however, came with Naal 2, a sequel to the critically acclaimed Marathi film Naal directed by Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti.
Treesha Thosar's Instagram post
Following her win, her Instagram account had a series of pictures with stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, from the night, along with a video of her receiving the honour. The caption of the post read, "71st NATIONAL award for BEST CHILD ACTOR goes to Miss.Treesha.Vivek.Thosar for NAAL 2......And the applause and thundering of claps was going on and on and on........ At the tender age of just six, when I went on stage to accept such a great honour, the entire auditorium stood up and applauded with thunderous claps. My parents and grandparents hugged each other tightly, crying their hearts out—clapping, crying, and smiling all at once. I still don’t fully understand what I have achieved, but I do know this much—that through this award, the name of my Maharashtra state and my entire family has been elevated. And as my mother said, in the past 70 years of National Awards, I am the youngest child artist ever to receive this honour."

The post further expressed gratitude saying, "For this success of mine, I am deeply grateful to my parents, my entire family, my whole film team, my director sudhakaryakkanti Sir, who chose me for this role, all the senior jury members who selected me for this award, and most importantly, to my beloved audience, who showered so much love on 'Chimi.' It is only because of your support that I have been able to reach this place at such a young age. I pray that your love and support always remain with me. I promise that I will continue to work with the same responsibility and sincerity in the future as well."
